Potentiometer throttle for Vector controllers

Created by Golden Motor, Modified on Thu, 29 May at 2:53 PM by Golden Motor

To use a potentiometer for the throttle, please follow the steps below:

1. Wire the potentiometer. The throttle red wire is +5V, black wire is GND, and the green wire is the signal wire for variable pot output.
2. In the programming software, set Throttle mode selection to 1:Linear and Speed throttle type to 1:Potentiometer. Sometimes the Speed throttle type needs to be set to 0:Hall effect throttle to get the throttle to work, so you can see what works for you.
3. Adjust the throttle voltage settings. Change the Throttle minimum and maximum valid voltages to match the voltages coming from the potentiometer. You may have to adjust the allowed voltages and fault exit values to accommodate the valid voltages you need to set for your potentiometer.
