Hi,
Sorry to hear of your issue. Please kindly go through the trouble shooting and answer any question below.
First off have a quick look at this video.
Please note: If you don't see the video links here you may have to click the link in this email to go directly to the ticket.
If that didn't help please follow these instructions to help determine the problem. Please answer each question asked and give as much detail as possible.
1- Are the lights on the throttle on? if so are they all on? Do they stay on when you use the throttle? if you answered yes to all three questions then proceed to step 2. if you answered no to any question then check the voltage on your battery. Does it have enough charge to power the motor? If you have a key switch is it intermittent? Do you have to wiggle it to get it on? Or did you have to wiggle it in the past to get the power on? When you turn it on and it is plugged into the bike it is still putting out enough voltage?
2 - Check all your wiring. This does not mean just look at it. This means go over every connection by pulling them apart and looking for any bent pins or broken plugs. Make sure they all fit together tightly with no chance of them being loose or not making contact. It is even possible one of the pins may have pushed back into the plug.
3 - Try it with only the throttle connected. Disconnect the power unplug the brake levers and control buttons and power up again. If it goes then power down and plug each item in one at a time and power up again to determine which one is causing the issue.
4 - If none of the tests listed above have helped you determine the issue you could try the phase wire test in this video.
With direct drive motors you can spin the wheel in either direction for this test. With 902 motors you have to spin it in the direction you feel resistance.
You could also try running it in sensorless node if its not a 902 motor like in this video.
If none of he above tests has any result then likely it is the controller that has failed. Once you advise me of your findings i will ask you to send certain items back for testing and replacement. do not send anything back until we advise you too and supply complete instructions on how to do so.
5 - Before we proceed any further I need clear pictures of both sides of the motor with any stickers displayed. You can upload them here..
Please do not open the motor or the controller unless we approve it. We may have you send the wheel back with the controller still intact so we can determine the issue first hand..
Let me know how you make out. The above is a pre-written response to controller issues. If you have already described your issue please kindly see if there is something you may have overlooked.
